Veet Spawax Stripless Wax Kit | Review

The last time I waxed my own legs it didn’t go down too well. I had one of those kits were you warmed up the strips between your hands, applied and ripped. I did one, screamed a lot, tore some layers of skin off and swore never to wax my own legs again. Until now.

The Veet Spawax Stripless Wax Warming Kit* allows for salon waxing results to be achieved from home, saving you the time, money and effort it takes to get it done!

Inside, it includes the wax warmer and six wax discs for melting. The wax warmer comes with the cord separate for easy storage, as well as a spatula for application/stirring the wax and a lid to keep it all tidy. The wax discs are infused with a gorgeous sweet fragrance, one that stayed in my house until after I’d finished.

The instructions came printed on the back of the box. Once plugged in, you put the appropriate number of discs into the warmer (4 for both half legs, 2 for underarms and ‘private’ areas) and wait for approximately half an hour before they’re completely melted and ready to go.

Once it’s all melted, you take the spatula and smooth a small portion on the area you want to wax, wait for it to be touch dry and pull in an upwards direction. (This is where I don’t do well). Some people may say it doesn’t hurt – and they’re either lying or have a really good pain threshold. I definitely recommend doing it in shorter pieces and making it quite thick, the quicker you do it the better! I found after I was done I still had a fair few wax residue bits on my leg, which did come off using some of the old wax/some exfoliation in the shower that night.

While it’s definitely not something I’d have purchased myself, it is a handy little tool to have in my bathroom. I’m definitely guilty of leaving it too long between waxes at the salon (because I’m lazy and because life gets in the way!) and this is perfect to keep with the waxing regime if you’ve got a night out and need smooth pins! My top tip would be to have a friend/parent/partner there to help you out and rip the strips off – it’s like a bandaid but harder to do!

I’ve seen this advertised on tele lately. I would be interested to try this out as I didn’t have much luck with the pre waxed strips as well.

I actually really like the veet roll on machine for legs. The wax heats up inside and can be replaced but you roll it directly onto the leg and use little cloth strips. I did mine last weekends and it honestly barely hurt compared to other wax kits that I’ve tried!
