Very excitingly I’m headed off to Bali today! We booked the trip over eleven months ago, so needless to say this trip has been a long time coming. As with my cruise earlier this year, I don’t expect to be wearing makeup very often – the warm and humid climate wouldn’t exactly help with it staying on – but I do want to have some bits and pieces with me just in case the occasion strikes! I’m trying to travel quite minimally on this trip so have a few multi-tasking essentials to share with you!
MakeupGeek Travel Palette – MakeupGeek eyeshadows, Inglot Contour, Mary Kay Blush: This is my go-to travel palette that you’ve seen many times now. The eyeshadows are go-to shades that work with everything, the contour and blush are two of my favourite shades to use on my skin and the palette itself has a large mirror which makes it the perfect palette to travel with!
Colourpop Highlighter in Here Kitty Kitty : I love this highlighter for its wet-look pigmentation, but I chose to take this one with me for its slim packaging to give me more room in my makeup bag!
CoverFX Custom Cover Drops in G20* + First Aid Beauty Skin Tint in Fair*: The FAB Skin Tint is a reliable light-medium coverage product with SPF30 making it a great base option. I’ve added in the Custom Cover Drops to darken up the foundation in the event that I do naturally tan whilst over there – I can also mix these in with moisturiser to make a hydrating base if required.
Rimmel #Insta Conceal & Correct Palette* : I went for this rather than taking individual correctors for its travel friendly nature – it has a peach shade for the undereyes, a green shade for any redness and a purple if I have any dull patches I want to correct.
Too Faced Better than Sex Waterproof Mascara : BTS is one of my all-time favourite mascaras and I was very happy to discover that for once I like a waterproof mascara formula! This one I’ve tested at the beach and in the shower and am very impressed with its lasting power and it’ll be perfect for the humidity and the beach/pool.
Rimmel #Insta Fix & Go Primer and Setting Spray*: In the interest of packing light I wanted a multi-tasking product that can eliminate multiple items – this will be both my main primer and setting spray.
Nars Eyeshadow Primer : I simply cannot fathom applying eyeshadow without a proper primer so had to slip my current eyeshadow primer in – plus I know it works!
Mecca Max Light Bronzer :this beautiful bronzer works brilliantly on me while I’m fair whilst also being buildable enough to use when I have a bit of a tan so this definitely wasn’t staying home!
PONi Cosmetics Lip Magic*: The only real time that I’ll be wearing makeup is going out for dinner so I didn’t want to bring any lip products that will easily come off – so chose this as it’ll add a hint of moisture that I know my lips will need and a light wash of colour.
PONi Cosmetics Zebra Brow Gel: My favourite clear brow gel of all time, this waterproof formula was an essential!
Rimmel Brow this Way Eyebrow Fibre Pencil*: I’ve had my eyebrows freshly waxed and tinted ready for this trip so I doubt I’ll need anything other than clear brow gel but added this in just in case!
Australis Fresh and Flawless Powder: I of course needed a powder to take with me and this happens to be the one I’m currently trying to use up!
Bare Minerals Bareskin Serum Concealer in Fair: I realised I didn’t add this into the photo, but I’m almost out of this so added it in to hopefully use up on the trip!
And that’s all the makeup that I’ve got in my suitcase on the way to Bali! I’m incredibly excited for the trip as I’m sure you’re well aware by now – stay tuned to see the adventures!
