Happy Friday! Man, I love the weekend, don’t you? I just love having a couple of days off to rest and recuperate before the new working week! Today’s Top Five post is on my Mac Lipsticks.
I love Mac, and I absolutely adore their lipsticks. They have a huge variety of colours and finishes – there truly is a lipstick to suit everybody! I have a fairly decent collection of mostly nude lipsticks, and there are definitely five that I wear more regularly, and love the most!
Top to Bottom – Blankety (Amplified); Crème in Your Coffee (Cremesheen); Hug Me (Lustre); Patisserie (Lustre); Viva Glam II (Satin)
As you can tell, I love my nude lipsticks! They are all a variety of nude shades, some more darker and some more pinker!
Blankety is an Amplified lipstick, which means that the colour is more intense. It’s a lighter, pinker nude that I often pair with a gloss just to make the colour a bit deeper because I find it can sometimes wash me out.
Crème in Your Coffee is a newer addition to my collection and I absolutely adore it. It’s a deeper, darker pinker nude but is just simply stunning. I jump for it when I want a darker nude for the day. It’s a Cremesheen finish so it feels moisturising and is really comfortable on the lips.
Hug Me was my first Lustre lipstick. Lustre’s are more shiny and generally less pigmented, but I don’t have a problem with the pigment of this lipstick. It’s a pretty brown nude, it does wear off fairly quickly if I’m eating or talking but reapplying is so easy!
Patisserie was recommended to me by a couple of friends, and is much more of a pink on my lips. It is another lustre, and applies like a glossy, peachy-pink and it’s probably the only pink lipstick I own that I wear on a regular basis, because I generally don’t wear pinks!
Lastly, Viva Glam II. Easily my favourite nude and favourite Mac lipstick. It’s my most worn and is a satin finish, which is between a cremesheen and a matte – drier, but not overly drying! It’s my perfect nude.
Mac lipsticks are on the more expensive side, being $36AUD. I always buy a few when I do an American order where they’re $16USD which is a lot more affordable! Any myer vouchers I get generally go towards a new one, and occasionally after a bad day or to treat myself whenever necessary I’ll gravitate towards Mac. There’s just something about those little black bullets that gets me every time!
