When I received a Christmas package from a PR Agency that I work with naturally I was super excited, and needless to say my excitement intensified when I found this beautiful The Balm Apettit Eyeshadow Palette inside ! The Balm Appetit eyeshadow palette (a play on the Italian saying ‘Bon appetit’) is something I’ve been eyeing off ever since I first saw photos of it online – I didn’t know it was even released in Australia until it arrived in my PO Box!
I think the packaging is so super cute. Everything from The Balm is well thought out in its packaging. It’s the first eyeshadow palette I’ve tried from them, and I love how it was all restaurant themed- I do love my food ! I love how when you first open it you notice a perfectly sized mirror, and how the ‘EAT UR ❤️(heart) OUT’ covers and shows the shade underneath, it’s totally different to anything I’ve seen previously !
The eyeshadows underneath are gorgeous – all incredibly large sized pans, all gorgeous colours and the names are male/dish themed – I feel like ‘Ray Sinbread’ and ‘Chris.P.Bacon’ are my two favourite names by far.
Shades are Bottom – Top: Bruce Schetta; Mac Encheese; Ray Sinbread; Tate. R. Tots; Rocky Road-Icecream; Chris P.Bacon; Hal Apeno-Poppers; Artie Chokedip & Alfred O’Pasta.
I think it’s a really unique mixture of colours for an eyeshadow palette. You’ve got some warmer and some cooler, some neutral and some pops of colour and some mattes and shimmers- it’s a really good mixture. Honestly the colour inclusions confuse me just a tad because they don’t all work together in my eyes – but hey, I’m no makeup artist or specialist ! The mattes were a little more difficult to swatch than the shimmers which you can see above.
I think this is a really high quality eyeshadow palette. The colours blended so easily on my eyes it was a dream to use – they practically did it all themselves ! It was easy to pack colour on top when I needed a bit more pigmentation and I just have no negatives about how the eyeshadow wore ! It lasted really well on my eyes, I’ve been using it semi consistently and I notice that even after 8 hours it’s as fresh as I applied it. (After that and it fades slightly)
This is a palette I definitely recommend getting your hands on for the quality of the eyeshadow and variety of shades – I can honestly say I have nothing like this palette in my collection!
OMG. the names!!!!! hahahaha I love that! I don’t think I have tried anything from The Balm!

Haha I know, how clever ! I’ve tried Mary-Lou and some of their Lip products but so excited by the palette, I want to try more !
I love this palette! I bought it without even looking at the price after swatching it in store. The mattes are lovely. I hadon’t been looking for a color like Mac Encheese – love it. Great review! XOXO
How good is it ! Definitely something I love 🙂 thanks so much x
