Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in ‘Fair’ | Swatch and Review

Currently one of the hottest and most raved about products in the beauty arena is the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. Consistently out of stock and talked up by YouTuber’s, I was hesitant to get the Shape Tape Concealer but when the shade ‘Fair’ (aka my shade) came back in stock recently I couldn’t help myself!

I love that it has such a large amount of product – using this daily it’ll take me close to a year to use it up I dare say! The doe foot applicator is much bigger than I’m used to using – I always find that too much comes off the brush onto my undereye area, but it’s something I’m working on!

The shade ‘Fair’ is perfect for me for highlighting under the eyes – I was worried from swatches online that it’d be too dark, but it’s honestly so perfect! On first application, I wasn’t too impressed – it didn’t appear at all the full coverage that everyone raved about. I kept wearing it, and maybe 3-4 hours after application I looked in the mirror and noticed that the coverage of the concealer had definitely improved – it was almost as if I didn’t have dark circles at all! Rarely do I find a concealer that can all but cover up my dark circles, but I feel like this is the one! They’re at their most extreme at the moment thanks to exam stress, but with this by my side I’m not even worried!

Bottom-Top: Tarte Shape Tape ‘Fair’; Bare Minerals ‘Fair’; Urban Decay Fair Neutral; Mary Kay ‘Light” (oxidises slightly).

This is one of the palest concealers that I’ve tried, and I wholeheartedly recommend and love it ! I think it’s a fantastic, fuller-coverage concealer and it wears nicely under the eyes – it’s a win from me !

Ohhh this sounds fantastic! I have crazy dark circles too, I have maybe 3 concealer in my collection that do the job but over the course of the day will fade allowing the darkness to come through. I have been this concealer around it didn’t want to give into the hype in case it was crap. Great review though Eb. Will certainly be keeping an eye out for it now.

Thanks Bec! I’m honestly super impressed by it, I set it with the RCMA No Colour Powder and am so happy with it ! Solid investment if you can get your hands on it xx
