Tarte Make Magic Happen Eyeshadow Palette | Swatch and Review

I’m a huge lover of Tarte Cosmetics products at the moment, and when I realised that I still had their Make Magic Happen Eyeshadow palette sitting their untouched in my drawers I immediately rectified the situation!

I remember I was initially attracted to the palette on their site by how the shadows were placed in the packaging – I’d never seen a palette laid out that way and it definitely drew my attention!

Next, it was the shade selection – for a neutral loving girl with a passion for shimmer I couldn’t pass this one up!

Swatches are bottom-top, left-right each row.

I always swatch a palette for photos before I try it on my eyes and I was extremely impressed by these shadows! The light matte shade showed up on my skin which rarely ever happens being so pale, and the shimmer shades had an almost foiled effect on the skin. The mattes didn’t swatch chalky or patchy at all. As far as first impressions go, mine was incredibly and overwhelmingly positive!

I’ve been using this every time I’ve worn makeup over the last few weeks and it’s definitely a new obsession of mine! The formula reminds me of Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea eyeshadow formula but slightly more powdery – it doesn’t feel like your traditional eyeshadow formula that’s for sure. My eyeshadow brushes easily pick up pigment and there’s zero effort required to blend the eyeshadows together.

This is the perfect everyday eyeshadow palette – it has a matte transition shade and a variety of different colours and finishes. You can easily work one of the shades on the lid for a quick and easy eye look, or work a few shades together to get a more intense look. This palette retails for $50 on Tarte’s website and I highly recommend picking this baby up!
