Sephora VIB Rouge 15% Off Haul | April 2016

You know me, I love a good sale! When it came time for the recent VIB Rouge sale at Sephora, I decided to spend some of the Christmas money I had sitting in my savings account and buy myself a few little goodies I’ve been eyeing off! I picked these up through ShopandBox so that I could take advantage of the cheaper prices!

Lovely Anne packed in a bunch of gorgeous makeup and skincare samples, as well as some American candy which was the sweetest gesture! (Sweet, get it?) The Twizzler lasted until just after this photo, the rest didn’t last much longer! There’s a few decent sized samples of things I’ve wanted to try, so I’m really happy with that!

One of the reasons I made the order was for this Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip kit. It’s no longer on the Sephora website at time of writing, but comes back periodically and I definitely recommend grabbing it! These kits are always amazing value and this is no exception – a full sized Nars Dolce Vita lipstick and Nudestix Lip + Cheek Crayon in Whisper, as well as deluxe sizes of the Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Milky Way lipstick (which I own the full size of and love), the Marc Jacobs Longwear Lip Pencil in Prim and the Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Namaste. I love myself some nude lips and this kit hasn’t disappointed!

Next thing on my list was the travel sized Make Up For Ever Step 1 Mattifying Primer – the travel sized smoothing size was sold out at the time I placed my order so I picked up this one to trial – I’ve been struggling with an oily nose recently so I hope this lives up to the hype!

The new Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Sin was something I couldn’t wait for the Australian release of, I need it! In the pan it reminds me of The Balm’s Mary Lou-Manizer and swatching reminds me slightly of Becca’s Opal – it’s such a beautiful shade, perfectly universal for any skin tone and a welcome addition to my highlighter collection!

I just had to pick up the Tarte Blush in Peaceful – look at it! Such a stunningly pigmented colour, quite glittery seeming in the pan but gives a healthy glow on the cheeks. Tarte blushes are absolutely amazing quality, I have way too many blushes but couldn’t say no to this one!

The Dermadoctor KP Duty Lotion is a skincare item I’ve wanted to try for a while now. I’ve suffered from Keratosis Pilaris (known as chicken skin, hence the chicken on the packaging!) on my arms and patches of my legs since I was quite young and it’s something I’m quite self conscious about. I have high hopes for this, and I’ll be doing a post on what skincare products I use to combat my KP so hopefully this will be included!

A big splurge was the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-In-Stick in shade 47 Beige Blouse. I’ve wanted this ever since Liv picked it up when I was in Melbourne last and the YSL assistant ignored me when I was trying to purchase it after her! It’s more of a stain, so incredibly moisturising and a pretty everyday colour! (and very hard to photograph!)

The last thing I picked up this time is the Tarte Glam Goodies set. I had wanted the Tartelette Tease palette and initially wanted that, but for a couple of dollars more I could get this kit with a deluxe sized Tarteist Lash Paint and Tarteist Lip Paint in TBT so how could I say no? The products are all an easy size to pop into a travel makeup bag and I’m on a real Tarte kick at the moment so I just had a compulsive need to buy! (side note: this is currently sold out too, so I’ve linked the individual items! If it does come back in stock I definitely recommend!)

I am super happy with everything that I picked up in this order, and a special thanks goes to Anne for the samples and the candy! This will be one of my last hauls for a while, due to the fact that we’re hopefully moving house in the next few weeks/ the fact that we just purchased a car and now I’m doomed to be poor forever.
