One of my favourite posts to write is a haul post, and one of my favourite things is to buy a whooole lot of stuff at once – funny how life works out! At the start of July I created an order through ShopandBox and just this week my partner came back from a month in the US – so I have two little hauls combined into one to share! I obviously haven’t tried a whole lot of these items yet because they’re so new to me – but what I have tried I have little reviews of down below.
Firstly, the ShopandBox items and of course, the food! I wanted to try some new Oreo flavours so picked these ones – the Cinnamon Bun flavour are sickly sweet and not my thing at all but my partner loves them, and the Heads or Tails Double Stuf & Firework versions taste the exact same as normal Oreos – except the Firework have popping candy. I do love normal Oreos though so I’m not mad! I also got two little cereal containers – one Lucky Charms and the other Cinnamon Toast Crunch which I’m very excited to try out.
Beauty wise, I found it hard to cut down my wishlist but am happy with what I chose. The Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip kits are always my favourite – I’ve already tried the miniature Nars Velvet Lip Glide in Bound and my first impression is good! The Tarte Picture Perfect Duo & Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer are repurchases of daily essentials. I got the Stila Magnificent Metals Liquid Eyeshadow in Kitten Karma because it’s consistently out of stock in Australia and it’s a shade (and shade name, let’s be honest) that I really wanted to try out. The Kat Von D Saint & Sinner Perfumes I first smelt at the Sephora Showcase event in June and I just couldn’t wait until they were released here to have them in my life! On the Sephora Showcase theme, I also picked up the It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara which I had tried on me at the event over the mascara I was wearing at the time and the difference was incredible! I also picked up the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Lip Quench in Buff and the Tarteist Brow Gel that I saw at the event and just knew I had to get my hands on quickly. Lastly, I picked up the Urban Decay Makeup Meltdown Remover Lip Oil Stick (which released three days after I paid for my order at Mecca, annoyingly enough!) to try for removing stubborn liquid lipsticks and the Boscia White Charcoal Mattifying Setting Spray which has been on my wishlist for forever.
And as always, my boxer Anne killed it with the samples! This is just a very small selection on the ones I had added into my bag – that’s my favourite part about using ShopandBox, the personalised service and the awesome samples – I’ve purchased a lot of products from these!
And on Monday, my partner came back from a month long trip to America – I was very happy about that, and not only for the goodies he got me off of my wishlist! He didn’t get any help from sales staff at either Sephora or the drugstore he visited, so I’m incredibly impressed and grateful. I gave a ridiculously long wishlist but only asked for a few items – I obviously knew that it’d be hard to get particular shades and items depending on where he went so I didn’t expect everything, and gave lots of options!
Food wise, he got me the Flaming Hot Cheetos which I’ve wanted to try since 2009 so I’ve got some pretty high expectations for these ones! He also picked up some Sour Patch Kids which I’ve also never tried, as well as another little packet of Lucky Charms that I forgot to remove off of my wishlist due to getting them through my ShopandBox order. I’m also addicted to M&M’s at the best of times, so requested the Dark Chocolate M&M’s which I was very happy to receive – although it’s touted as a share pack and we all know that won’t be happening!
Makeup wise, he somehow picked up my two top wishlist items from each place without knowing that these were the items I wanted most – how awesome is that?! From Sephora, he picked me up the Beauty Blender Swirl (are we sensing the recurring Sephora Showcase event/me having poor patience/self control theme going on here?) as well as the newly released Too Faced Hangover 3 in 1 Primer and Setting Spray. Most excitingly, he picked me up the new CoverFX Prime & Set Kit which contains a miniature of the Mattifying Primer (which I currently am enjoying a sample of), a miniature of the Mattifying Setting Spray which I LOVE and their Setting Powder which I’m looking forward to trying! From the drugstore, he picked me up the L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara which every America-based beauty YouTuber seems to be raving about right now which makes me ridiculously happy, as well as one of the Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Chrome in Bronze Sheen which was my first colour preference of the five shades I wrote down so I’m beyond excited to play!
And that’s everything! Compared to my usual hauls I figure it’s fairly tame, especially considering it’s two hauls in one! I’m really excited by all the new products that I’ve got here with me now and can’t wait to play with them all and review them!
