Random Collective Haul | March 2018

The happiest of Friday’s to you all! I thought it’d be fun to do another little collective haul post ! I’ve been saving these items up over the last few weeks to share – it’s everything that I’ve received in the mail (both purchased and PR) and things I’ve picked up in store since coming back from the Priceline event last month. I had a blast shooting them all and collating this post for you all so let me know if you’d like to see these continue monthly ! I’ve included some first impressions for you all as well, so without further ado let’s goooooo!

I was lucky enough to receive some of Rimmel London‘s new range of cheek products ! I received the Kate Moss Cheek Palettes (Highlight, Bronzer and Blush) as well as the three new Insta Strobing Liquid Highlighters. In a bit of an error a bunch of fellow beauty gals and I received extras of the cheek palettes and I never heard back from my email – so stay tuned for a giveaway!

Some new limited edition brushes from Real Techniques arrived in the mail and aren’t they gorgeous?! I received four brushes from their Brush Crush range – the Fan, Eye, Foundation and Kabuki brushes which are all super soft and super gorgeous ! These are available now at Priceline and are a limited run so don’t miss out on these stunning brushes!

Designer Brands have been on fire with their new releases recently – I don’t have them in a store near me and all the products I’ve wanted to try are always sold out online ! They’ve got new foundations, primers, cheek products and everything in between! I randomly (and gratefully!) received a package recently with their new Keep ‘Em Clean Brush Cleaner (its like they know….) as well as three of their new Lip Scrubs from their lip range released in March! They smell absolutely delicious and are incredibly affordable!

After the Priceline event I was lucky enough to be sent some beautiful Avene skincare products perfectly suited to my combination skin! I’ve tried the Hydrance Optimale Micellar Water and Aqua Gel-in-creme Moisturiser before – the latter of the two is one of my holy grail skincare items and I’m so excited to have a backup! I also received the Cleanance MAT Mattifying Toner and Hydrance Optimal Hydrating Serum – both of which I feel I may have used in the past but cannot remember how they worked so I’m super excited to have all of these to include in my routine!

Super excited and grateful (take a shot every time I use those words in this post and you’ll be having a right old time by the end I’m sure) to have received the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Hi-Impact Restoring Shampoo & Conditioner to trial – it is meant to be incredible for blonde damaged hair so it’s going to suit me well!

A selection of the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Polishes arrived at my doorstep. I have terrible luck with nail polish as most chip within 24 hours so I have high expectations for these – you’ll certainly hear more about them if they work for me!

I recently attend an Ultraceuticals press day at a local medispa and was spoilt with a skin treatment and these goodies! (More to come…)

More haircare goodies came from Klorane – including a top-up of my ultimate favourite dry shampoo which is needed way too regularly! I received their Blond Highlights Shampoo & Conditioner with Chamomile as well as their Desert Date Shampoo & Conditioner – both of which target my blonde damaged hair perfectly and I’m sure will work wonders used together! I did also receive the treatment in the Desert Date range but that’s currently in my gym bag!

I received a surprise package from Palmer’s with three of their best selling products to try out – their Ultra Hydrating Serum, Daily Skin Moisturiser (which I love) and Coconut Oil Body Oil which I’m also very excited to try!

Another haircare product received recently is from Dessata. I received their Detangling Hair Brush as well as a sachet sample of the Bright Leave-in Regenerative Cream. The leave-in treatment had enough for one use and I did definitely notice that my hair felt super soft the next morning but the winner for me is this brush. I’ve never found a brush that I can use on wet hair without it hurting or pulling out a tonne of hair – until this. I used it on wet hair cautiously and it basically glided through. I am so incredibly impressed by this brush and this won’t be the last you hear about it !

Classic story – went to Chemist Warehouse for painkillers and vitamins, walked out with makeup… plus my painkillers and vitamins! I didn’t intend on buying the Maybelline Burgundy Bar Eyeshadow Palette until I swatched two shades and admitted bank account defeat. I also picked up a Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish, a Maybelline Master Drama Eyeliner And Rimmel Oh My Gloss Lip Oil Tint as they were all reduced and items I wanted to try !

I received a tub of pure Shea butter from Deluxe Shea Butter and let me tell you it has worked wonders on stubborn dry patches! The weather has just turned chilly in Hobart so this is a product I’ll be using religiously over coming months!

A gorgeous little package arrived from L’Oreal with all of their new Paradise Eye range – how cute is the way that they were presented?! I received their infamous Lash Paradise Mascara (I’m intrigued whether anything changes from the US version I have!) as well as their new Brow Pomade and Kojal Eye Liners.

I found a subscription box online called Beautifully Well Box and after having a look at past boxes signed up! The box is $29.95 a month (there are $10 first month codes floating around) and $7.95 for postage which is fairly comparable to other boxes. This is more focused on fitness and wellness which is where my head is at and I’m so excited by the contents – especially my first ever Lorna Jane items (gym girls love socks!) I’ll definitely be getting this again in April – let me know if you’d like a review !

Herbs & Heart sent over their Face Mud which is a cleanser/mask hybrid with amazing natural ingredients that I am very excited to give a go – it really is a mud like texture and does have a very interesting scent to it….

Let’s end off with two makeup packages ordered by yours truly in the last month – I’d been going SO well with my no/low buy until Sydney and now after these I’m definitely back on it !

I’ve been watching a LOT of Sophdoesnails on YouTube and she inspired me to make an order from Makeup Revolution. These NINE products cost me UNDER $55AUD – can you believe it?! I still almost can’t. I’m going to be testing these out in ‘bulk’ and doing a full brand focus coming up!

Lastly, I broke my own self-imposed “no buying limited edition products” rule…. I’d seen sneak peeks of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette (which is a permanent item btw) online and I managed to talk myself out of purchasing it until I saw swatches of the ABH x Amrezy Highlighter and then I knew I needed them both! The palette is one of the most beautiful neutral palettes I’ve ever seen and that highlighter….. it’s on another level! I knew I had to break my rule for the highlighter and the eyeshadow palette came too!

Oops! As said – let me know if there are any products you’d like reviewed!

I had to laugh about going in to Chemist Warehouse to buy painkillers and vitamins, and walking out with painkillers, vitamins and makeup. That is me EVERY SINGLE TIME!

Me at the supermarket, bakery, chemist…. just basically everywhere! I did have every intention of only swatching the Maybelline palette… oops! Maybe one day I’ll have a little more self control (doubtful)

Thanks Isabella! I know I’ve featured a few of the Avene products on here before if you search them in my little search box! I absolutely adore the brand so I’m super excited ! The Shea Butter will help me through the dry patches of Winter – that have already started here in Hobart!
