A little while ago now, I was sent a gorgeous little parcel in the mail from PONi Cosmetics containing one of their newest releases, the Mane Stain Brow Gel Crème. I think PONi is an awesome Australian brand, I love their theme and their cute packaging – they’ve got their niche and it works! I was naturally super excited to try a new brow product.
I chose the shade ‘Palomino’ which is a perfect neutral-taupe shade that I love in my brows – possibly the best shade match I’ve found for how I like my brows! It does retail for $40 which is a little on the pricier side! This is a super popular product, and it’s easy to understand why!
It has a really soft, mousse-y texture – the first time I gently dipped my brush in I made a hole in the product- it’s super soft! It does make it really easy to work with and is easy to spread throughout the brows. I find that it takes a little more time to work with than say the Chi Chi Brow Pomade, but it does give a really defined look if you take your time, or is good just to add some colour to the brows.
This is Palomino swatched – I think the shade match is totally perfect for me, and would be a great option for blondes/light brunettes that like a more taupe brow. The swatch that I applied to my hand didn’t come off fully for over a day – I removed most of it with micellar water, but the residual line was still there.
Overall I’m really happy with it – when applied to the brow it’s easy to brush through. I had some issues with it stick in to a patch where I don’t have many brow hairs but I pair it with Benefit’s BrowVo primer and it works a treat! It lasts a really long time in the brows without fading.
While it is $40, if you’re a brow fiend this is the product for you! It is a great product to use, and if budget isn’t an option I definitely recommend!
