Still. Cannot. Deal. With. How. Close. It. Is. To. 2015! Like seriously, whaaat! It’s been an absolute crazy whirlwind this year, my life has changed so much and for the better! October has been another busy month, and I’ve worked through a fair few products, less than normal but still a good amount! I love seeing what I’ve used up, loved and have been disappointed by, so I hope you feel the same!
I received the OGX B5 Shampoo and Conditioner* in one of my final Priceline Beauty Click boxes and have finally worked through them! Or should I say my boyfriend has. They were good products, but I found that they left my hair feeling a bit dry, which isn’t what they were meant to do! I passed them onto the boyfriend though and he liked them! I’ve also used another of the Hair & Me Hair Rejuvenation Treatment* which I love, they’re a little messy though but my hair always feels super soft after using! And as usual, another Batiste Dry Shampoo in Sassy and Striking Mamba, only one this month but still a solid favourite! I used up another of the Marc Daniels Blue Cypress Blonde Daily Moisture Shampoos, my daily toning shampoo – this doesn’t get enough hype, it’s an amazing product!
I really like the Formula 10.0.6 Pore Strips, Formula 10.0.6 are a brand I’ve used and loved for probably 7-8 years now, and I love seeing the gross stuff that comes out of my nose after using this! My boyfriend uses them (reluctantly) too so these got used up quickly! I’m throwing out the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Highlight Activating Moisturising Conditioner, it’s been in my shower for probably a year and it just never really did anything much for my hair! I didn’t really like the Yes To Coconut Polishing Body Scrub either, it didn’t exfoliate my skin at all, it was a really light texture and left my skin feeling a bit oily even after washing the product off. I also finished up the Natural Secrets Goatsmilk Moisturising Conditioner* which I love love loved, I can’t seem to find it anywhere to purchase though! I used up the Simple Micellar Cleansing Water which was really great, I’ll repurchase again for sure.
My boyfriend stole the Body Shop Smoky Poppy Bath Bombs* off me because he loved the scent, and he used the last of these off, they’re limited edition but I’ll definitely get some more bath products from the Body Shop in the future! I was disappointed by the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Wipes because I found them fairly dry – I don’t know why I deviate from what I love, I won’t again! The Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover is a lifesaver, the best eye makeup remover I’ve found! The Marc Anthony Repairing Macadamia Oil Treatment made my hair feel heavenly soft, I definitely recommend and will repurchase in the future! The Daiso Detergent for Puff and Sponge is a cult product that I stock up on whenever I’m on the mainland – so good for cleaning my Beauty Blender!
Kmart Makeup Remover Pads are always in my empties, I use a couple of packets per month with removing my makeup, applying toner etc! The Natural Secrets Goatsmilk Moisturising Hand Cream* was amazing, I need to repurchase because nothing has come close to leaving my hands so soft! We’re saying RIP to my Carmex Balm*, which came to an unfortunate death via my washing machine! The Nyx Eyeshadow Base is thrown out, I just really didn’t like the product! One of the bath bombs I used this month is the Avobath Lush Bath Bomb which left my skin soft for days! I’ve also gone through another of the Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover, a nail polish remover/sponge combination that makes my life so much easier!
I went through a realisation recently where I counted how many unopened mascaras I have in my drawers… While we won’t talk about the number because it’s embarrassingly large, I’ve decided to start being more ruthless and hygienic with my mascaras and throw out whatever I don’t use regularly each month/ throw ones away straight away that I don’t like! The Benefit They’re Real Mascara is amazing for stand-out lashes, unfortunately this dried out because I didn’t do it up tightly enough but I’ll repurchase when I’ve used up more! The Maybelline Lash Sensational* I received in a Priceline Beauty Click box and just didn’t get along with, but everyone else seems to love it! The L’Oreal Miss Manga* is one of the greatest mascaras I’ve ever used, it has the strangest wand ever but I love the length and volume it gives to my lashes! The Josie Maran Argan Black Oil Mascara is absolutely amazing and reminds me so much of the Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara, it’s the first mascara in a while that I have completely used up! The Rimmel Wonder’full Mascara with Argan Oil is just a bit old, but is the perfect ‘no makeup makeup’ mascara to use, so natural!
And that’s what I used up throughout October! Not a great deal, a few hits and misses but I’m glad to have decluttered these products from my bathroom!
