NYX Lid Lingerie Eyeshadow Palette | Swatch and Review

I was lucky enough to receive the new NYX Lid Lingerie Eyeshadow Palette as a part of my goodie bag at the Priceline event recently. I honestly don’t think I’ve tried NYX Eyeshadows prior to this and didn’t have a high expectation going in, purely because I haven’t really tried a whole lot of their products !

The packaging is horrible to photograph, but very simple – clear packaging and six large matte Eyeshadows encased.

It’s definitely a neutral palette – each of these shades is matte and can easily be worked together or used alongside shimmer shadows from a different palette.

I wasn’t underwhelmed nor overwhelmed by the swatches – they were pretty good for matte shadows but I am just not really a matte Eyeshadow girl.

This however has changed me. They’re really easy to blend and aren’t scarily pigmented when you first apply them – they’re really buildable. I’ve used just these shadows on their own (yes I’ve gone out with purely matte eyeshadow and yes it felt weird!) as well as with other shimmer shades and it is definitely very easy to work with.

The formula is long-lasting throughout the day, however I’ve found that towards the end of the day the eye look tends to just feel a little sloppier, like it has creased ever so slightly. I’m not one to wear makeup for 13+ hours out of the house at this stage so it isn’t a huge issue for me.

Overall, I’m really impressed with this eyeshadow palette! It’s hard to find any all-matte affordable eyeshadow palettes so to have one from NYX that is great quality with durable packaging is wonderful! Available from Priceline now I believe !

I’m so in love with this palette! I think the quality is pretty darn good for a drugstore palette.
