Another month over, another month of empty beauty products to share! Like my November Favourites, my empties is pretty light on this month – being in Bali for two weeks I just didn’t really have the chance to use up as much as I usually would! I wanted to also share with you some fails as well for the month – some products that just weren’t good at all!
Rexona Clinical Protection Deodorant – you’ll be glad to know this is already repurchased! I took The Body Shop’s Coconut Soap to Bali with me – there was a promotion a while back where if you purchased two items you received 20% off your total and it was cheaper to purchase this as well – I’m not a soap person though so it was perfect to travel with and leave behind, I did enjoy the soap but I’m just a shower gel type of gal! Speaking of shower gel, I used the last of this little The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Shower Gel* and I did love the fresh scent of this one – something I’d definitely purchase again myself. Lastly for this little lot is the Oh Deer Sugar Oh Planet Bliss Balls Bubble Bath – I have SO many ODS products in my bathroom and finally used one for the first time and loved it!
I wasn’t a fan of the normal Marula Oil products, but I absolutely loved the Paul Mitchell Marula Oil Light Rare Oil Volumising Conditioner* – it smelt amazing and my hair was particularly soft and bouncy after using this! Ditto with the Panetene Pro V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo which I loved to use every other wash – gave my hair a little extra hit of moisture! I finally used up the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil-in-Cream Hair Treatment* which seemed to last forever – I loved this and will definitely repurchase. For hair, I used another Klorane Dry Shampoo – a definite favourite of mine!
Kmart Makeup Remover Pads – what would an empties post of mine be without these? The La-Roche Posay Micellar Water Ultra I definitely enjoyed and will repurchase. The Too Faced Mascara Melt-Off was a great little travel companion but the packaging absolutely sucked – clearly it’s very broken! I used and loved and am already using another packet of the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes! When I attempted to refill the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for my Bali trip I completely broke the lid – so it’s bye bye to this guy!
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sheet Masks are my favourite (I have a good 15 at least at home) and I used another this month. The Mecca Cosmetica Hydrogel Eye Mask I finally used and am super impressed by – I used it when I got home from Bali after approximately 36 hours without sleep and it really helped improve my undereyes! I used another of the Biore Ultra Nose Pore Strips to clear out my nose pores (duh). The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Concentrate* I really enjoyed and luckily have a backup of! The Pixi Glow Tonic sadly spilt in transit to Bali and I lost most of the product – I love this, but the $45 price point has me hesitant if I’ll pick it up again or not – I’m using a similar product now instead.
I finally used the last of my Mac Fix + in Cucumber which I loved, and am continuing to use in different scents. The Uriage Bariederm Lip Balm was super nice and I can’t seem to find it anywhere to repurchase online. The Sally Hansen Diamond Flash Top Coat I loved, but went to use last night and found the formula has gone gluggy – will definitely be repurchasing. Lastly, the OPI miniature I went to use for the first time and found the formula had completely separated – which is sad because the shade is super nice!
And now for the fails! The Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist* my skin just did not like – my eyes stung every time I used it and I had to stop – weirdly though I’ve used two miniature sizes of this and had no reaction! The Medik8 Glow Oil* I absolutely cannot stand – the first time I used it I broke out in two places. I waited a week until that cleared before using it again, and woke up the next morning with a ridiculously painful dry patch under my eye that felt like a chemical burn – do not recommend this guy! The Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam* I thought was an interesting idea, but was messy and didn’t do a thing with my hair. I had high hopes for the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo but it too did absolutely nothing for my hair! These items will sit aside in my cupboard until a friend comes around and they can take them home if interested!
