It feels so weird to be writing this! I missed out on last week’s post due to my Bellabox post and I haven’t missed a post I think since I started this series!
Uni is going well so far. It’s third week this week, and assessments are already kicking my butt – two due at the end of the week! There’s a lot more work expected of me this year, but I think that’s a good thing! The upside to not getting many hours at work at the moment too is the extra time to study – I’m 100% on top of everything at the moment, and I have other spare time – it’s great! But the money situation isn’t the greatest, but that’s life!
Speaking of money, spending ban update! It’s been about a month and a half now since I started my spending ban, and I’m going really well! I have purchased a couple of things – a new toner because I didn’t have a backup, a new Revlon Colorstay because that’s my daily foundation, and some Daiso brush cleanser because I stock up every time I’m near a store. Other than that though, the only things I’ve purchased have been a few assorted clothing pieces and some makeup that were purchased with vouchers and money I received over Christmas for that purpose. I did also purchase a backpack last week for university – but that was a necessity, my shoulders were so sore from using a handbag to carry everything! The fact that I don’t really have the money to spend either helps, but I’m generally getting less urges to purchase things randomly. I’m researching, making a wishlist and I’m happy with my collection!
I’ve been downsizing too. If you’re following me on Instagram, you’d know that I have another Instagram account, @tbawgblogsale. I’ve been downsizing my collection, selling mostly untouched/hardly used items. I’ve already parted with most of the higher end items, but I have a bunch of things from brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Mac and Smashbox, as well as some Bath and Body Works, Rimmel, Maybelline and OPI products – and so many other brands! If you’re in Australia, I’d love if you could check it out and pick up a bargain! Would it be easier with a web form though? I’d be happy to create a Blog Sale items post if you’d be interested?
Some major things have happened over the last two weeks! Some collaboration work behind the scenes, a possible move, job interviews – the list continues! I’m really looking forward to what the future has in store for me, I’m really hoping for some positive change in my life – I need a break!
I actually went out Saturday night. I had a dinner to go to, and ended up going to town afterwards. I wasn’t dressed for the occasion at all, but I had a tonne of fun! I did end up going home fairly early because I was so damn tired, and I really struggled Sunday from the lack of sleep, but it was nice to do! Early on I felt like I was about to experience a panic attack, but I managed to calm down and enjoy the time I had out. It definitely made me realise the grandma that I am inside, I don’t think I can do that again anytime soon!
That’s it for me this week! I have a super busy week – work, uni assessments, shipping out blog sale parcels, hopefully heading to the gym, some workers coming to the house and a rental inspection! I’m really getting a lot done though and feeling productive! There’s two posts that have been fairly requested over on Instagram scheduled for this week, so I hope you enjoy what’s ahead!
