Monday Musings – March 21st, 2016

Guys, it’s a happy, happy Monday! I have so much news and I can’t wait to share it with you all! In chronological order I think, so it makes sense!

I have a new job! Finally! I decided not to share my job search with you guys this time, I wanted to keep it a bit more private and personal this time. It definitely was a struggle – my hours were cut back significantly at my current job after Christmas (something I’ve discussed here previously) so mid-Jan I decided to start seriously looking for something new. And it’s been really hard. There is definitely a job scarcity at the moment. I’ve had some ups and downs throughout my search which I won’t go into (I wrote it up but 400 words later I realised I’d probably put you all to sleep!) I had an interview last Wednesday for a position, and around 25 hours later received a call offering me the position! I start after Easter, and am really looking forward to it! It’s a great position with a great company, part-time and everything I’ve been looking for! I’ve been in a rough place mentally recently, especially with this stress, so it feels like a giant weight off my chest!

I finally have my engagement ring back! What feels like forever and a day later! Drama after drama, but I have it, it fits perfectly and I’m in love! The engagement definitely feels more real now that I have my ring securely on my finger! It’s been so great finally being able to show friends and family in person, rather than just a picture! It just makes me happy every time I look down at it.

Uni is still going well. I’m fairly well caught up to schedule – assessments are stressing me out though! I’ve had two assessments so far, both marks have come back good but I still want to do better – this semester I’m worried about my final assessments so I’m aiming to set myself up with the best possible marks just in case I do as badly as I anticipate!

I have a wedding to go to this weekend! One of my beautiful friends is marrying a fantastic man, I am so happy for the two of them! I was one of the first to know when they first got together and then engaged, and I am so excited to share in their love and marriage! It’s the first wedding that I’ve been to since my cousin’s 10 years ago, so I’m really looking forward to it, it should be such a beautiful today! I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye out for ideas for my own wedding!

Pretty Little Liars. The finale. Brought it up last week, this week I’m still sitting here wondering what just happened. I’m so confused! I have to say I’m not really impressed with how the season ended, but it does have me intrigued for the next one!

Can anyone recommend some good TV shows? We are now almost finished Criminal Minds and I’m up to date with all of my regular shows, so I need some recommendations of things to watch! Preferably established shows. Shows I love/have been watching recently include Castle, Jane the Virgin, Criminal Minds, Pretty Little Liars and Orange is the New Black. I would love to know what you guys are loving, especially if we have similar taste!

I’m just really happy and content at the moment – life is looking up, things look like they’re improving and I couldn’t be happier! Now to finally go for my driving test and work towards my P’s, and to get my fitness back on track! (The whole ‘once a week minimum’ workout thing didn’t really happen.. But it’s my next priority now I have a new job!) I’m really feeling positive for the future and what it will bring! My content scheduled/that I’m planning is going to be great, and I hope you love what I have in store!
