Happy March 19th! And a very happy Monday to you all – let’s get into our chat, shall we?
Thank you – again. I’ve received so so many friendly comments, messages and words of encouragement recently – I’m feeling incredibly blessed! I may only have a smaller platform but to know that I have the support I do truly is a blessing – I’m grateful for each and every one of you reading this post!
The gym is going well! I’ve had a few little things disrupting my recent routine but I’ve still made it in five times a week and I’m impressed by that! And when I haven’t been able to get in I’ve been keeping active – I’ve found a new beach walking route recently close to home that I’m loving – beautiful outlooks don’t hurt at all! I’m feeling so much better already so let’s hope that the results I’m after come soon!
The power of a positive attitude. Some of you reading this know me personally, and know I’ve been struggling with quite a few things recently – and I wanted to quickly chat about the difference a positive attitude can have on so many things. Whilst I don’t believe a positive attitude can manifest everything you want in life (hasn’t happened to me, but wow I wish it did!) I really am seeing an improvement in my self-esteem, self-worth and mental health by approaching things more positively. Yes – certain situations can suck quite a lot. But what are the positives in the negative situation? I mean yes I’m currently only freelancing and working casually and I do want a position with more responsibility and reliability – but the positives are I still have a roof over my head, am paying my bills and I get to focus on my health, friendships and family so much more. Yes people in my life might be struggling with health issues that have me worried 24-7 but at least I’ve got them here and value the time that we spend together. A change as simple as this has really helped me over the last few weeks – I know that obviously there are a LOT of situations without a positive angle that can be taken – but if you can pull even one positive out of a negative I promise you can feel so much better!
I’m a silk pillowcase convert! You might (probably won’t) remember that for Christmas 2016 I received a silk pillowcase as a gift. I’ve actually only just started using it this Friday (oops!) and I’m already impressed! It’s made a noticeable difference in how my hair is of a morning – it’s much less frizzy and more manageable when I wake up. I haven’t noticed any difference in my skin as yet (it has only been a couple of nights) but I now have high hopes!
Latest post roundup: I shared details of the products I’ve recently used in my February Empties post and followed that up with a rundown of the Priceline Beauty Prescription Live event with all the cool photos and statistics! Last Monday I shared with you two body care products I have been LOVING from BodyBlendz. Wednesday’s post was a more negative one sharing the ‘Products I Regret Buying‘ and followed up Friday with my tips on workout-friendly makeup!
That’s it for me this week! I’ve got some fun content headed your way that I really hope you love!
Glad to hear everything is going well at the moment! I need to try silk pillowcases, they sound amazing!

I slept on it with wet hair last night and the difference is actually mindblowing! They are pricey (Hello Hair do the cheapest I’ve found) but I think it’s love!
I love my silk pillowcase too! I didn’t get one straight away but once I started using it I was sold! My hair was so smooth and it just made for a good nights sleep 🙂
I am totally impressed! A little weird to get used to after a lifetime of cotton but I’m a convert!
I’ve heard that the silk pillowcases such a game changer! I need to try it out!

I’m guilty of being a pessimist, but I agree that thinking positively can totally change your outlook on life! Ah I don’t know if I buy into the silk pillow case hahahah! I figure it’s probably something I’d have to try in order to change my mind haha!
