Happy Monday, and happy June!
Happy Long Weekend! For those of you in Australia anyway, happy birthday to the Queen – and cheers I guess for the day off! I’ve really enjoyed it so far, having two days off in a row at the same time as my partner is rare – we’ve spent it lying on the couch catching up on Criminal Minds Season 11, and I couldn’t be happier or more relaxed!
Exams are over! The greatest feeling in the universe was the relief I felt walking out of my final exam on Friday! Not too sure with how I went for my subjects, but am so relieved to have four weeks where I don’t have to think about uni… before next semester anyway! Herein lies fun and relaxation – hopefully! Feels so good to watch a bunch of YouTube videos in a row and not feel guilty!
Haul post – coming soon! I had planned on getting it up for you this week… But I was bad! What can I say, stress makes me want to shop! I have a few more things coming through ShopandBox and once they arrive, the post will be up! I’ve got a bunch of new items that I’ve stress-shopped for during exams, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts with you guys – just know that this will probably be the last for a little while, after this and the expense of moving house my bank account is not very happy with me!

Celebrating my two and a half year anniversary tomorrow! It’s crazy to think how much my life has changed since meeting my partner just over two and a half years ago. I’ve suffered an illness so badly that it’s affected my health permanently, I’ve started my blog, I’ve turned 19/20/21, I’ve moved out of home (and in with a boy, something I never thought I’d do!), been overseas for the first time and now I’m engaged and (albeit slowly) planning my wedding! Nothing I’d ever dreamed would have happened. There’s been some downs, but mostly ups, and I’m so happy to have met my beautiful human! I know you read my posts periodically – so happy anniversary my love!
I have some really fun posts planned! I’ve gone through the last of my scheduled posts that I’d prepared pre-moving and exams, so I’m really looking forward to sitting down on my days off work over the next few weeks and preparing a whole bunch of new content! Uni exams were a major creativity blocker, and I’m really excited to have my own desk and my own space, and start improving what I’m putting out! I’ve finally found my camera so I’m going to start playing around with that, or if I’m still not happy saving for a new one – my photo quality has been really lacking recently and I know that’s letting me down, so I really want to up my game and improve everything I’m getting out to you guys.
And, on a sadder note:
The world lost a beautiful soul this weekend. Christina Grimmie, a YouTuber and a singer on the US version of The Voice was shot dead at a meet and greet on Friday night US time, which absolutely floored me when I found out. If you follow me on Snapchat, you’d know how devastated I was. Her talent is unbelievable, she was the first person I ever watched on YouTube (I guess I have a lot to thank her for!) and her music got me through an incredibly tough time growing up. I’m absolutely heartbroken at the loss of someone who got me through so much, and urge you all to listen to one of my favourite covers that she’s done, which I’ve linked here. It’s a real tragedy.
Hug your loved ones, tell them what they mean to you, and always do your best to stay safe no matter what. Have a happy and careful day, and know that if you ever need anybody to talk to – I’m only a message away!
I was shocked when I heard the news of Christina’s death. I haven’t really been affected by the deaths of other famous people the last couple of years but this one is the first. Will miss her beautiful voice!
I hadn’t either ! But then it really hit me. So sad
