Happy Monday, my friends!
Uni is going so well! It’s now Week Four, and I know I’ll quite possibly fall behind over the next couple of weeks (more on that in just a moment) but I’m really loving my classes so far! The content is all things I’m really easily engaged with and I’m two assignments in and really l’m just in a great place with it all!
My placement for uni is next week. All throughout my study I’ve been focused on getting my marks in a great place, to set me up for the future and also to have myself accepted into a professional placement subject with competitive entry – I was thankfully accepted and placed with my absolute first choice of placement provider, so I am beyond excited to get that started! I start next Monday, and I am absolutely thrilled – I’ve already been in and met the people that I’ll be working with and they all seemed absolutely wonderful from first impressions, so I am just so excited to finally get some actual experience in the field I’m studying! I am a PR student, in case you weren’t aware, and I obviously have an understanding of PR from an academic standpoint as well as through interactions with various firms and practitioners as part of having a blog, but I haven’t yet had the chance to have an internship placement – so I’m really thrilled to be getting into it – in case you cannot tell by the epic ramble of happiness that you’ve just read!
I go to Sydney tomorrow! I’m beyond excited to be able to attend my first event with Priceline and I cannot wait to meet new people and see friends that I’ve met through blogging that I rarely get to see in person, as well as to meet the people that represent the brands that Priceline carries and learn more about Priceline’s most popular selling items and what’s to come over the next few months! I am also excited to be back in one of my favourite places to visit – I’ve got a few fun bits planned as well as some sneaky shopping, of course – so stay tuned for a haul in the near future!
I’ve started a new series on the blog. I absolutely love travel, and would absolutely love to be able to include more travel posts in the content that I’m putting out – but sadly budget/time constraints mean I’m not able to travel as much as I’d like to – so this new Tasmania Series is a way of sharing with you some of my favourite places in the place that I live and love – I get asked consistently through Snapchat and Instagram about the best places to visit, things to do and where to eat – so I’m really excited to be able to start sharing with you some of the things that make Tasmania such a beautiful place to be! I of course started out with one of my favourite places to eat – read more here!
I think that’s it with everything this week! I do have some more bits to share with you, but I’m going to leave those for now – I need time to collate my thoughts before I share any more ramblings! I hope you all have an amazing two weeks until we life chat next!
