Mindbogglingly we’ve made it to halfway through the year – eep! The EOFY is super busy for most people so sending all my love to those affected by this crazy season – including you Tash! I have definitely had an ‘interesting’ first half of the year and am praying for better things to come in the latter half of 2018!
Speaking of better things – I’ve fallen in love with some killer makeup items this past month so I think it’s about time I share them with you! (I have skipped the skincare items this time because I have a Winter Skin Favourites post headed your way shortly!)
Stila Cosmetics Glitter & Glow in Gypsy – absolutely no denying the fact that I purchased this because my cat’s name is Gypsy, and I’d probably love it even if it was a terrible product. Which luckily, it isn’t! This beautiful purple-pink glitter goes onto the eyelid absolutely seamlessly and has no irritation or fallout to my eyes whatsoever. I can’t use loose glitter to save myself so this is my dream!
Urban Decay Backtalk Eye & Cheek Palette* – if you follow me anywhere else this will be of no surprise to you as it’s consistently featured throughout the last few weeks but I’ve been really digging this palette! Whilst the eyeshadow shade aren’t as pigmented as I’d like them to be and I wish they were a tad easier to use, they’re absolutely darn gorgeous and worth the extra effort. Add in a cheek side with 3/4 shades that I can actually use (a pale girl’s miracle!) and the prettiest highlighter ever, you have a winner! If you’ve got similar shades already I’d probably suggest skipping this one, but if you don’t or you’re a hoarder like me, jump on this limited edition baby PRONTO!
Inika Long Lash Mascara – holy moly they named this accurately ! There has never been a mascara that has made my lashes longer – this has de-throned my loved Benefit They’re Real! Plus it’s cruelty free and really does a wonderful job at adding the needed volume to my lashes too – a slightly pricey but much justified product I highly recommend!
Becca Cosmetics Sunlit Bronzer in Bali Sands – while the name (along with this winter weather!) makes me long to go back to Bali, this beautiful Bronzer is everything I’ve ever wanted. It is perfect for pale girls – not too warm and not too cool, absolutely beautiful to warm up the cheeks and so so easy to blend. There isn’t enough hype about these!
Mac Lipstick in Viva Glam II – I misplaced my beloved Blankety for the month and instead gravitated to this old favourite and remembered why I love it! It is a beautiful satin finish – not too creamy but not too matte – and another gorgeous nude shade. Plus the proceeds are donated to charity and it isn’t drying on my lips – is there anything more I need to say other than to go buy this?
Smashbox Cosmetics Primer Water – I’ve missed this baby. I’ve been using a similar product from a different brand but this is the OG for me. I don’t use it just as a primer – it doesn’t feel like it’d work that way for me, but I do use it to add a boost of hydration to my skin and I love how my makeup applies afterwards! It definitely isn’t an essential product to own, but it’s an everyday essential for me!
And that’s all the makeup bits that have stolen my heart this past month! I’d love to know what you’ve been loving – not that I need any more makeup!!
