For those of you who haven’t read my post about my Hair Story, you need to know that my hair is bleached, dry and damage. I’m surprised it hasn’t all fallen out yet to be completely honest! My hair is something that I’m doing everything I can to breathe more life into, and this range has certainly worked wonders!
I was contacted a little while ago now asking if I’d like to try the Joico K-Pak range for damaged hair, so of course I said yes! Joico is available in salons, Pricelines and some supermarkets and I’ve wanted to try their products for a really long time, however they’ve always been slightly out of my budget! Having tried them out though, I understand why they are so incredible, and I will definitely scrimp somewhere else to be able to repurchase these – they have helped my hair look and feel so much healthier!
The Joico K-Pak Shampoo and Conditioner for Damage Repair* are a great combination just in themselves. They come out white and don’t have a particular scent – which I love because I’m not a fan of overly fragranced haircare products! The shampoo lathers really well and I find that my hair feels incredibly clean afterwards – it actually has that clean feeling when I rinse everything out, which doesn’t always happen with other shampoos! The conditioner was more of a light consistency, and I found it worked best when I left it in for 5-10 minutes. It isn’t quite as strong as I’d usually like, but is perfect when paired with a hair treatment!
The K-Pak Liquid Reconstructor For Fine/Damaged Hair* unfortunately leaked during transit, but I have been able to use it a few times! I tend to spray it onto my hair after I’ve lightly towel dried it, and leave my hair to dry overnight so it doesn’t cause further heat damage. I definitely notice less frizz when I use it, and find that my hair adapts better to straightening! The K-Pak Intense Hydrator* is probably my favourite product from the range. It is a super hydrating hair treatment and I found that I can use it on the lengths of my hair as well as at my roots without it weighing my hair down/feeling greasy, unlike some treatments! My hair always styles really nicely when I’ve used it, and I’ve received compliments about how healthy my hair looks which is always a win!
The K-Pak Leave-In Protectant* had an early demise due to me knocking it over in the shower and not realising it wasn’t properly sealed (I’m an idiot). I use it on damp hair when I’ve just finished showering, a few pumps of this through my hair and it’s good to go! It helps to seal the hair and form a protective barrier to further damage. The K-Pak Split End Mender* is an interesting product. While I don’t believe that split ends can be fixed (well at least mine can’t!) I have noticed less since using it through the ends of my hair. The split ends are much smaller and there are less of them – my hairdresser commented on that when I got my hair done a couple of weeks ago, and you know a hair product is working when your hairdresser asks what you’ve used!
I really have noticed a difference in my hair since using the Joico K-Pak range! Whilst nothing will repair the damage that I’ve already done but time and trimming off the dead bits, this range has definitely helped to help my hair look and feel a lot healthier. I’ve received compliments on the overall shine of my hair and the softness, so that’s a total win in my books! It’s definitely something worth the investment, and I’ll be repurchasing every one of these items in time! They cost $27.95 from Priceline and there are regular sales for an opportunity to get them a little cheaper!
