Irresistible Me Diamond Professional Styling Iron | Review

I was recently given the opportunity by Irresistible Me to trial their Diamond Professional Styling Iron* – and being a mess of naturally wavy, damaged hair I couldn’t pass up the opportunity! I’m always looking to try new tools that will give me the straight hair I desire!

One thing I will say right away – you will need an adapter for this if you’re not in the US! I hadn’t thought about that at all, and really struggled to find one in shops so that I could test it out! This straightener is jam packed with awesome features, some of my favourites being:

Auto shut off: I am the worst at remembering to turn off my straightener so this is an absolute lifesaver! I can say that this feature has already had a workout (oops!)
Cool tips: Cool to touch on the outside, meaning no accidental burning of the hands that can happen with some straighteners that I’ve tried previously!
Frizz free hair: it claims to create straightness without frizz, and I’ve definitely noticed that! My hair lasts for two days frizz free.

There are so many more awesome features with this straightener, but the real test of its work is what the product creates – so what better than a before and after?

The before!

The before!

And after!

And after!

As you can tell, there is a huge difference in the before and after! The before shot is taken early morning with freshly washed and dried hair – my hair is a crazy mess, super curly, frizzy – it’s all everywhere! The after shows it completely straight – the bumpy bits near my shoulders are the old layers I had cut into my hair that I’m growing out! Now I know it does look like I have a bit of frizz/a few flyaways – my hair has been quite damaged and has some breakage/fluffier bits from when my hair fell out when I was quite unwell a couple of years ago.

This straightener has definitely helped to get my hair under control! It takes about 15 minutes to straighten my hair, which is average for me, and it keeps it straight for 2-3 days, from wash to wash! I’m definitely impressed by this, it works better than other brands that I’ve tried and it leaves my hair feeling smooth and looking healthy and straight – it’s a yes from me! If you’re interested, check it out here.

[A thank you must be inserted here to my favourite human, who grouchily woke up early on a Sunday morning to take before and after shots for me – love you!]

Ah yes, hair photos can be so hard to take! Well done 😉 This sounds like a nice straightener, a little annoying that you need to get an adapter though.

Haha thank you! I’ll pass on the feedback to my new official photographer 😉 it was so hard, these are the best of a bad bunch haha. Yeah it was slightly annoying, but in saying that I should have realised, being a US product! Will be handy to have around the house anyway!
