If I asked my Dad that, he’d either say something gross like “it’s priceless” or tell me that I have a “great face for radio” because he’s where I got my terrible sense of humour from! After recently doing the ‘Full Face Under $100’ challenge and failing miserably I thought it’d be really interesting to share with you every step that I do on an everyday basis and work out exactly how much that costs! There’s two versions of this tag floating around on the internet – I’m doing the version without adding in the prices of the tools that I use (brushes, BeautyBlender etc.) because a lot of the brushes I use come from sets and it’s a little too hard to work out! Without further ado – let’s add up how much ‘my face’ is worth!
Rimmel #InstaFix and Go Primer and Setting Spray* $13.95. Used to spray after moisturiser and before the rest of my primers (I’m excessive I know).
Mecca Cosmetica Hydrating Primer $40.00. A really nice hydrating primer for the majority of my face.
Mecca Max Oh My Matte Mattifying Primer $20.00. Used on my nose alone.
CoverFX Blurring Primer* $60.00. Used on the areas where I have the most visible pores – mostly surrounding my nose. (Side note – did not know it was quite so pricey!)
Smashbox Hydrating Under Eye Primer $41.00. I have quite dark under eye circles/fine lines under my eyes and this definitely helps my undereye makeup stay on longer throughout the day.
Pixi Beauty Brightening Peach Corrector* $25.00. I cannot live without this on a daily basis – my undereye circles are on another level.
Stila Stay All Day Foundation + Concealer $58.00. The foundation is one of my favourite formulas, and the concealer that’s conveniently housed inside the lid is a really nice thick concealer for spot concealing which makes this a double whammy!
BareMinerals Complete Coverage Serum Concealer $30.00. One of my favourite formulas for under the eyes.
CoverFX Mattifying Setting Spray* $45.00. My all-time favourite and best working mattifying setting spray I’ve tried!
Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder ~$25. I cannot for the life of me find the price I paid for this travel sized one online – I use this under my eyes to set my concealer.
NYX #NoFilter Finishing Powder* $22.95. This powder reminds me a lot of Mac’s Mineralise Skin Finish Natural – but half the price!
Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder Light $63.00. Shoutout to the best partner ever who got this for me last Christmas! I’ve used this basically daily since and have barely made a dent!
Models Own Sculpt & Glow Contour Kit Medium to Tan* $24.95. A pale girl friendly blush, bronzer and highlighter all housed in one convenient palette – a current go-to!
Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base $37.00. A really lightweight and easy to use eyeshadow primer.
Colourpop ‘She’ Eyeshadow Palette ~$21.00. Converted from $16USD this is the palette I’m reaching for currently and loving the girly shades!
Rimmel Brow This Way Fibre Pencil* $10.95. A beautiful eyebrow pencil that fills in my brows with both colour and volume – I love!
PONi Cosmetics Zebra Eyebrow Gel $26.00. A waterproof eyebrow gel that keeps my brows perfectly in place throughout anything life throws at me – I am obsessed with this gel!
Tarte Opening Act Eyelash Primer $28.00. Used daily after curling my lashes/before mascara to condition my eyelashes and give them a little extra volume.
Benefit They’re Real Macara* $42.00. A reliable formula that will not budge at all throughout the day – I’m obsessed! (Not waterproof, but holds up incredibly well under duress!)
Mac Cosmetics Lipstick Viva Glam II $36.00. An all-time favourite nude lipstick.
Total price: $609.80. Ouch! I have nothing further to say other than it’s safe to say all of my money is on my face!!
