It’s a new month (not just a new year!) which means it’s time to share with you all what I used up throughout December, and my opinions on them all! These are some of my absolute favourite posts to read because I am a nosy human, so enjoy !
The L’Oréal Intense Repair Mask was a Catch of the Day purchase – I didn’t hate it nor love it, but I did use it up – often using another treatment alongside it. The Biology Skin Oil Infused Bath Soak* I’m honestly not sure if it did anything other than make my bath smell nice – but I like a nice smelling bath! The Sally Hansen Diamond Top Coat I love but sadly it’s gone gluggy – I do want to purchase a new one in the near future. The Simple Dual Effect Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover is a product I love and am still using a backup of. This Carmex Lip Balm sadly found the end of its life in my washing machine- but I do love my Carmex. The Clinique Moisture Surge Eye Cream is being binned – I found it with the lid partly open inside my gym bag and who even knows how long it’s been like that! I did enjoy the few times I used it. The Lush Yummy Mummy Shower Cream* I really enjoyed using, it has a delicious scent and leaves my skin feeling super soft.
It wouldn’t be an empties post of mine without the Kmart Makeup Remover Pads now would it? I’ve used another Olaplex Step 3 Treatment and I need to remember to use this more frequently because it’s done wonders for my hair! The Radox Muscle Soak is a favourite of mine for sure – helps to ease muscle ache after a heavy workout. The Body Shop Moringa Body Scrub* I quite liked – it felt really gentle and moisturising on my skin. It’s something I’ll consider purchasing once I’ve used up more of my stash. The Biore Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips are my favourites and I’ve used up another two. Lastly we say a sad goodbye to my Bare Minerals BareSkin Concealer that I dearly love and will definitely be repurchasing down the line.
The Just Cuts Justice Professional Dry Shampoo* just wasn’t for me – it did a decent job but I didn’t like the scent, nor the fact that it seemed to fall out of my hair like dandruff and it left a white cast on my hair that I couldn’t fix without washing – which defeats the purpose really! The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Body Butter I finished up on Christmas Eve – and received a new one Christmas Day which I’m incredibly grateful for! The La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + is something I use daily and dearly love. The Hair Recipe Honey and Apricot Moisture Mask* I wasn’t impressed by – it felt more of a general conditioner than a mask in my hair- I do enjoy their other products however.
I’m also farewelling three products that have been open for far too long – my Essence Clear Eyebrow Gel, the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara and the It Cosmetics Tightline Mascara. I quite liked all three of these products and have nothing against them – it’s just that I am fortunate to be constantly testing new things and these have been forgotten during that time.
