Hello friends! Today I wanted to share with you a few of the makeup pieces I’m absolutely obsessed with at the moment.
I usually do monthly favourite posts but while I’m taking a little downturn on the content I’m creating I thought it beat to do them every now and again rather than monthly. I also am wearing makeup a lot less often than I have been so they’re taking a bit longer to gather together.
MAC Studio Fix Foundation in N4* – I was shade matched to this late last year and it has been one of the products I’m leaning towards every time I do my makeup. It is an absolutely perfect match for my skin and a really lovely coverage for every day. I also purchased the pump that goes with it and I have 0 regrets!
Australis Fresh and Flawless Powder – I’ve recently gone back to using this gorgeous little powder to set my foundation, and sometimes alone for just a tiny hint of coverage. It’s really finely milled for a pressed powder and doesn’t appear to ‘cake’ up my makeup in any way. Also it’s super affordable compared to some powders which is pretty much a win in my books.
Sephora Collection Mattify Primer – I may have finally found a mattifying primer I like more than the Mecca Max! This isn’t too thick of a formula and settles really nicely on the skin. It’s one of the best I’ve found for holding my oil at bat for the majority of the day and it is a fairly affordable little product.
Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer* – I’m also very much a fan of this primer currently. I mostly just use it on the area with larger pores but use it all over my face from time to time. I find this really smoothes out my face and helps to significantly blur the appearance of my pores. My makeup definitely lasts longer when I wear this too – the only thing I don’t love is the price tag!
Kylie Cosmetics Skin Concealer – I have a shade that’s probably a little too dark for me to get away with but this formula is worth the extra effort. It’s a really nice medium buildable coverage concealer and I don’t find that I have any extra creasing under my eyes when I use it. I’ve also used it numerous times for blemishes and it lasts really nicely throughout the day.
Mac Nutcracker Face Duo – I feel quite bad including this in my favourites considering it is a limited edition product that is no longer available for purchase but it really is something I’ve been reaching for. The matte blush is the most flattering shade for pale skin and the highlighter is one of the most beautiful ones I’ve ever had the pleasure of using – both in shade and formula. If you ever see this beauty on a secondhand makeup site I’d highly recommend picking it up!
NYX Born to Glow Highlighter – another gorgeous highlighter that I’ve been loving recently, this is an affordable little guy (I feel like I paid $10?) with the most beautiful pale gold reflective payoff on the cheek. A beautiful single highlighter option available from Priceline!
Mecca Max Starlit Glow Eye Pencil* – I’ve professed my love for this many a time but I’ve really limited how much makeup I wear and this has been something I use daily in my inner corner regardless of what I do. It just gives a little hint of glow and makes my eyes instantly look a little bit brighter and more awake – perfect for first thing in the morning at the office !
Glossier Boy Brow in Blond – a very difficult product to get your hands on in Australia (I used a forwarding service and it was so worth it) this has become my everyday brow product. A lightly tinted brow gel with a small few fibres, I just brush this through my brows and build up the colour and I’m good to go all day. I have naturally quite full eyebrows so this is all I feel I need on a daily basis because I don’t really have any sparsity. I’m a huge fan of this and definitely recommend trying if you can.
Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara* – I received this in a press package and had it sitting in my drawer for a few months before I tried it out – which I regret! This really is my go-to everyday mascara of the minute because it lengthens and adds volume to my lashes perfectly but also works easily on my lower lashes just for a little bit of colour and definition. I don’t think this mascara has received nearly enough attention on social media and is something I really really recommend purchasing.
These are definitely the products I’ve reached for the most over the last few months. Especially with lessening the frequency I wear makeup these really have been the ones I rely on!
