Thanks to years of highlights, bleach, box dyes and poor hair maintenance, my hair has been left quite dry and damaged! Thanks to Olaplex, it’s starting to get better but the ends of my hair are still a bit of a mess! I use hair treatments most times that I wash my hair, I just find that my hair ends up a lot softer for longer if I do!
A recent addition I’ve been loving is from Superfood Hair Masques*. They have an awesome 3-step system that intends to moisturise, heal and add shine to your hair. Each mask is used every two days, and I’ve been using these religiously ever since I got them and I love what it’s been doing for my hair! My hair feels incredibly soft and it definitely extends to looks – it looks a lot healthier, there are less flyaways and it definitely has a subtle shine to it! And I simply adore the packaging! They all smell absolutely delicious too – I have to do these after dinner otherwise I get so hungry!
Pure Hair Food Protein Masque* is another mask I’ve been using a lot of recently. This is a protein and moisture mask, intended to strengthen and restore dry and damaged hair. It contains wheat protein, soy protein and macadamia oil, and is sulphate/paraben/cruelty free – all of the good things! It’s Australian made and I love how lightweight it makes my hair feel. I can feel the effects of this mask even after I’ve washed my hair again – I use this around once a week for a lasting effect!
Hello Hair* has been one of my favourite hair masks for the longest time. It’s predominantly a coconut oil mask, however each edition also contains other oils to help deep condition the hair and leave it in perfect condition. I leave this in for around an hour before I wash it out and I find that it deeply conditions my hair and makes it smell amazing! A tip with this mask is to use a bit of extra shampoo, as coconut oil can be hard to get out of the hair! It’s 100% worth the extra effort though!
Dove Pure Care Dry Oil is something I was originally sent as a PR gift, however I’m now almost out of my third purchased bottle! This is something you put in your hair prior to shampooing – I tend to come home at the end of the day, run a few pumps through my hair and put it into a bun while I cook dinner and then wash it out in the shower afterwards! It, again, leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft and looking healthier.
These masks all do roughly the same thing – they aim to repair and re-energise dry and damaged hair, but I love them all for different reasons! I’m a hair mask junkie, and love having multiple on the go – but if you’re not a crazy hoarder like myself, I know that at least one of these will be perfect for you!
