Colourpop Pressed Eyeshadows | Swatch and Review

It’s no secret around these parts that I’ve been quite disappointed in the past with Colourpop. I’ve found quite bad inconsistencies with the quality of their products (from not great to worse) and their customer service extremely lacking. Nonetheless, when their Pressed Eyeshadows were released they caught my attention, and after quite a few positive reviews I cracked and purchased some! I’ve had these for a couple of months now and have been playing around with them for that time and finally have my review prepared!

I picked up ten eyeshadow shades, one matte and nine shimmers. I did this purely because on a daily basis, I tend to be always in a rush and quickly put a matte into the crease and a shimmer over the lid.

Swatches Top – Bottom : Let Me Explain; Bouquet Toss; Pep Talk; Come and Get It; You Know the Drill (top row of palette);

Time Out; Double Date; Pinky Promise; High Strung; Wake Up Call.

The swatches as you can see are hit and miss – some are more chunky or chalky than others, High Strung is by far the standout with the pigmentation – the shade is like butter and swatches like heaven!

Whilst the swatches on my arm are not the greatest, I’ll admit, how they wear on the eyes are how these shadows really shine. They last all day with only the tiniest bit of fading, wearing a lot better than some other eyeshadow formulas I’ve tried!

I hate to admit it, but Colourpop have won me over with this one! I didn’t want to like these eyeshadows but I absolutely fell in love and have been using these constantly since I first received them in the mail!

    Ugh I just purchased high strung and mine is nothing nothing like yours! I get barely any colour payoff even when I go back and forth in the pan a heap of time before I swatch. I was soo excited when I saw swatches online before I purchased, but I’m so disappointed in the products I received.

      Oh my gosh no way! High Strung was honestly so soft and so beautiful I’m so sad for you! I hardly touched it and I’m being completely honest! So sorry you were disappointed with your purchases, but being honest these are the first Colourpop purchases I’ve made that I’ve actually liked ! Probably spent around $200Aus (including shipping) prior to these too!

        Well I’m glad at least you finally had success after spending so much! Colourpop is so hyped and I was dying to try it, so glad I only purchased a couple pressed shadows, 2 super shocks and 2 liquid lips. All of the eyeshadows are hella disappointing, no pigmentation! I’ll be ordering all my single shadows from a brand called Karity (not sure if you’ve heard of them?) but their shadows are soo creamy and pigmented and they’re even cheaper than colourpop! And they have good brushes too!

          I may or may not have done a sneaky order for a couple more with their international shipping & 3 for $10 deal 😏. Definitely a brand with a lot of hype! The only products I’ve had success with are the pressed shadows. I find my Makeup Geek are higher quality than these, but these win over so many other brands I’ve tried! Funnily enough though I tried a couple of Karity shadows and didn’t get along with them very well !
