bhave Hair | Review

A little while ago now I was sent a few items from the brand bhave to test out and review. The products were ‘curated’ to my hair concerns, so I was excited to give them a go! I’ve been trialling them for a little over a month and have a few mixed opinions, so I’m excited to share the below reviews with you.

For context – I have dry/damaged blonde (bleached) hair that’s naturally fairly wavy and frizzy.

bhave intense toning masque* – Meant to neutralise  warm and brassy tones in blonde hair, I was expecting this to be purple like every other product on the market, so you can imagine my surprise when this turned out to be completely black! A product to be applied to towel-dried hair, I have so far used this twice – once on wrung-out hair in the shower and once per the usage instructions on the bottle. I found the same results either way, which is great as it’s more convenient for me to put it in whilst in the shower doing everything else. I definitely found that this worked well on my hair, and unlike some similar products it didn’t dry my hair out or make it appear greasy quicker. This is definitely a stand-out product for me, and one I’d definitely purchase again after completion – I am just lucky that I don’t need to use it too often!

bhave fresh ends* – my first impression of this was of the packaging, which I loved – I like when products have non-standard packaging, and with this you push it down for the product to come out, similarly to the Drunk Elephant moisturiser. Designed for wet or dry hair (the brand suggests using it on dry hair for best results), it’s meant to help smooth, repair and control split ends without weighing down hair. Now I know nothing can actually repair split ends, but I did notice a small difference each time that I used this. I found I got the best results working it in with wet hair, and didn’t see anything on dry hair. It’s nice to use, but I didn’t see it as essential and it’s not something I would go ahead and repurchase.

bhave scalp shampoo* – a shampoo designed to help with any irritation on the scalp, I love using shampoos like these to really help my hair during the week. I tend to use a lot of dry shampoo and hairspray for work, and using something like this at least once a week helps me with any buildup of product or any itchiness caused by said products. I really really enjoyed this one – it’s a little more expensive than my usual Klorane shampoo, but it does an amazing job.
