I’ve gone back to some old favourites with this round’s beauty rotation – I looked through my drawers and found some products that I used to absolutely adore but hadn’t reached for in a few months. I have to say, I’m grateful that I did it!
Revlon Colorstay Foundation – Buff 150 has been my shade for the longest time, and it’s been my go-to foundation since 2010. I hadn’t used this for months, and ended up absolutely scraping the sides to get the last out of the bottle. I’ve remembered why I love this foundation – it has great coverage, lasts well all day, doesn’t transfer and is completely reliable. I am so glad I have backups in my drawers because I’ll be reaching for this again very soon!
Poni Cosmetics Unicorn Highlighter* – an old favourite, this highlighter is from an Australian brand and is a sparkling metallic champagne shade. It’s absolutely beautiful and incredibly reflective on the skin. I’m a big fan of this – it really stands out on camera and really packs a punch! I believe they have new packaging now, but this is for sure one to look out for.
Becca Cosmetics Bali Sands Bronzer* – I’d again forgotten how much I loved this bronzer when I first tested it out. It’s a beautiful neutral toned bronzer that is ideal for pale skin – it doesn’t pull too warm or too ashy on my skin, and creates the most beautiful natural flush of colour to the cheeks. It isn’t a completely matte bronzer, more like a light satin, but it is absolutely wonderful. I’ve put this back in my drawers for now so I can use up another fully, but this will be a summer favourite I can already tell.
TooFaced Chocolate Bar Palette – you can tell that this baby is much loved! I have had it for well past its “use by date” at this point and I think it’s slowly starting to lose its pigmentation. A few of the shades I’ve hit more pan on since I took this photo, and I absolutely adore it. I think sadly it’s time to retire this into the bin and keep using other palettes that I own, but this is by far a palette I would purchase again if I used up more of what I own – a truly reliable neutral palette!
