Hello friends, and welcome to my new series.
I’ve recently started a new job (more on this soon!) and I now wear makeup every day. I’ve quickly noticed that I tend to stick to the same items, so in order to combat that I’m committing to rotating my products regularly and sharing with you what I use and my thoughts and opinions.
Think new products and old favourites. Every 1-2 weeks (depending on my work schedule) I’ll change up items such as cheek products and eye palettes and share them with you.
Mac Studio Fix* has been one of my go-to foundations recently. I can rely on it lasting all day with only a light touch up needed on my very oily nose. It is an absolute staple in my makeup routine, and something that I need to rotate because otherwise I’ll use it up too fast!
Urban Decay Backtalk Palette* is something I absolutely adore. The blushes and highlight are the perfect amount of pigmented and easy to blend. The powders aren’t chunky or glittery and are a dream to use. The palette also contains eyeshadows, which do require more work to build them up, but are beautiful neutral and pink-purple shades that are definitely worth it!
Maybelline’s The Falsies Mascara* is an old favourite of mine I’ve recently rediscovered. I love that it is so affordable and helps separate and lengthen my lashes and the curl lasts all day.
Hourglass Ambient Light Edit Palette is something I borrowed off of a friend of mine to try out their ambient lighting powders. I’ve tried both Dim Light and Diffused Light and love them both – I just wish they weren’t quite so expensive to buy!
