During a recent order on the Anastasia Beverly Hills website, I decided it was finally time to pick up some of their eyeshadows to test out. I’ve heard many mixed reviews, and thought it best to try out for myself. I picked up four, which came to $40USD and included a 4 well eyeshadow compact which I thought was so nice !
I picked up four very beautiful eyeshadow shades, all colours that I tend to lean towards on a daily basis, very warm and some shimmer!
Swatches Bottom-Top: Birkin (Ultra Matte Formula), Comfort (Satin Formula), Rose (Metallic Formula), Chocolate Crumble (Metallic Formula).
I’ve read some reviews online saying that their Ultra Matte shades,Birkin especially, are difficult to blend and patchy, but it couldn’t be further than the truth! It did search awkwardly, but blends like a dream on the eye.
Comfort is a gorgeous shade, described as an ‘antique copper’ on their website. It’s a gorgeous bronzey-browny-purple (I’m really bad at describing shades) and is so nice on my blue eyes! The formula is very nicely pigmented.
Rose is a metallic shade, which is more of a ‘foiled’ eyeshadow formula. It is a gorgeous light golden-pink on my complexion, and wears really nicely. The pigmentation is great, although I like to spritz my brush with Fix + to really bring out the colour of the eyeshadow. (Just a heads up too, the shade in person is sk different to what it looked like on their website for me!)
Chocolate Crumble I adore, another metallic shadow, described as a ‘smoky amethyst’ on their website. It’s another shade similar to Comfort but slightly on the cooler side, I love wearing this all over the lid.
I may have only tried four of the ABH eyeshadows, but I am already such a fan of the formula! The pigmentation is really good and they wear well throughout the day, I use a primer and am set for even a 13 hour day! Definitely a product I recommend trying, and something I will purchase more of in the future!
