For my next curated selection of empties, it’s time to share the makeup products that I’ve finished! These have been collected over the last few months and we’ve got a few favourites – and a fair few fails!
Essence I Need a Miracle Mascara* – not the best I’ve ever used, it worked beautifully for the first week and then seemed to clump my eyelashes together all the time. I really wanted to love this because so many of my friends did, but it’s just not for me.
Mecca Max Bronzer – one of the best bronzers I’ve ever used, the shade Light is my truly perfect bronzer. I’m currently using other bronzers in my collection but this is the one I’ll repurchase when they’re out.
Mac Fix + – one of the staple products of my collection, I’m currently using and enjoying the Matte version. I know for a lot of people this is unnecessary, but I love the added hit of hydration to my makeup routine.
Smashbox Eyelid Primer* – not my favourite eyeshadow primer. It’s a silicone based clear primer which just isn’t my personal preference. It did a good job at keeping my eyeshadow on, but at the end of the day I just work better with a different formula.
Bare Minerals Lashtopia Mascara – not the best mascara I’ve ever used, but not the worst. It was just ‘okay’ and for that I won’t repurchase.
CoverFX Mattifying Spray – the second bottle of this I’ve used, I think you can tell that it’s love!
Innisfree Green Tea Lip Balm – I really enjoyed using this lip balm, and I wish it was something I could repurchase easier!
Makeup Revolution Mascara – I just didn’t get along with this mascara. I really wanted to, but it just didn’t do much for my eyelashes. It’s cheap, but that was its only positive for me.
Models Own Eyebrow Gel – not my favourite tinted eyebrow gel. I found that it was a bit clumpy and hard to use, and I prefer ones I’ve tried from other brands.
Models Own Eyeshadow Primer – this I absolutely loved, and used until the last drop of product was scraped out. I think this is one of the better eyeshadow primers that I’ve used and is a really affordable option!
Covergirl Lash Blast Active Mascara* – did absolutely nothing for my eyelashes. I was really disappointed with this!
Uriage Lip Balm – added this in for nostalgia. No longer stocked in Australia, but one of the best lip balms I’ve ever used!
Sephora Collection Lipstick – I haven’t had this for very long, but the formula has started going funny so I’m sending this to the bin!
Mary Kay Volumising Brow Tint* – a product I’ve really loved using. It adds a little hint of colour to my brows, but leaves them looking natural but that little bit better.
Zoella Beauty Lip Oil – it smelt like cough medicine, and to be completely honest I forgot about the product and it dried out!
Essence You Better Work Mascara* – what is it with Essence mascaras not working for me? So many people rave about them, but this just didn’t work for me either…
L’Oreal Paradise Mascara* – one that did work for me! I loved using this mascara and it’s one I’d definitely purchase again in the future.
BeautyBlender Pro – big fan of the fact that the black pro BeautyBlender didn’t show stains! I apply all of my base products with my BeautyBlenders and have an extensive backup stash!
Glossier Boy Brow – the hype is real with this one! It really is a beautiful product. Adds a little bit of tint and volume and so easy to use.
