A Curated Empties | 3

Hello hello! It’s been a hot minute since I shared my empties with you, and over the last two months I’ve tried and finished a bunch of products – some good, some bad!

The point of my ‘curated’ empties are to not show you everything, but to show you the items I wanted to chat about for various reasons. For that point, I’ve had to split this round of empties into three separate posts – there have been a lot of products! I’ll be spreading these posts over the next few weeks intermingled with other content so you don’t get too bored!

evo Ritual Salvation Shampoo * & Conditioner* – I received these a while ago from RY and have finally gotten around to finishing them. While I think they’re great products, they weren’t products I could use together – I found that my hair would go limp and get oily really quickly when paired together, because they are so strong and targeted. Two products I definitely recommend, but only use them together if your hair is REALLY damaged – otherwise it’ll be too much.
John Frieda Lemon Miracle Masque* – I really enjoyed using this mask. It left my hair smelling great and feeling incredibly soft. I was told that I’d love it if I loved Olaplex, and I’d say that was a pretty accurate description! Something I’ll definitely purchase again in the future.
Klorane Dry Shampoo* – you guys know I love my Klorane dry shampoo! I haven’t been using it as much recently, but this is always a product I’ll feature because it is pretty great!
ghd Heat Protectant– a product I wish wasn’t so expensive! One of the best heat protectant sprays that I have used, it works nicely on my hair and doesn’t weigh it down or leave it feeling ‘weird’ after.

Shea Moisture Soothing Body Wash* – this guy helps to exfoliate and nourish the skin as well as cleaning it, and is something I’ve honestly really enjoyed using. I have a fair few shower gels in my stash at the moment but can honestly say I’ll buy this in the future.
Biore Charcoal Micellar Water* – I wasn’t sure what I thought of this initially because it feels quite strong with the scent, but I found myself loving using this of a morning because it refreshes and wakes up the skin, while also cleaning residue off. A really lovely product, and if it’s on special next time I need micellar water it’ll be coming home with me!
Daiso Detergent for Puff and Sponge – my favourite way to clean my BeautyBlender, and it’s so cheap too! Just wish there was a Daiso in Tasmania…!
Nivea Sensitive Micellar Water – my grandmother actually gave me this, which I think is pretty cool! I really liked using this too, it was really gentle on the skin and did a good job at removing traces of makeup from my skin.
The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Body Butter – I purchased WAY too many of these a year or so back because I loved the scent, and this is one of two tubs that I finished during this empties period. I love using these and I loved the scent.
Innisfree Apple Seed Cleansing Tissue – not the best makeup remover wipes I’ve used, but at $5 a pack I purchased them when last in Sydney and am not bad about them all together. I’ll stick to my tried and tested favourite Neutrogena wipes and wouldn’t repurchase these if I have the chance.

Andalou Naturals Pure Pore Toner* – this was a HUGE no from me. My skin reacted terribly to this, and it’s something I stopped using after three weeks and instantly saw my skin looking better! I’d give this a miss.
Biologi Eye Serum* – man oh man, I wish this wasn’t so expensive to repurchase! This little bottle of joy lasted me months, and I really noticed a difference in the hydration and appearance of my under eye area due to it.
Youth to the People Moisturiser* – something I am genuinely really sad to have finished, this is one of the best moisturisers I have ever used and was incredibly lucky and grateful to receive it. It smelt fresh, applied nicely and sunk into my skin beautifully, and left my skin hydrated and plump. It’s definitely something I hope to purchase in the future and truly recommend.
Antipodes Hosanna Hydrating Serum* – A really lovely hydrating serum. I was initially perturbed because the product is orange, but it melts into the skin and worked well with every other product I used alongside it. Another product I’ll purchase in the future.
Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm – not my favourite lip balm, I feel like $28 for this is an absolute rip-off! It’s an okay product, but I’ve tried better for much cheaper.

You can bet your butt I’ll be buying like 10 bottles of that sponge cleaner when I go away in a few months.
