It’s finally getting warmer here in little old Hobart so I thought it was the perfect time to share with you my top five new nude lipsticks for Spring and Summer. I’ve got together five new lip products that are all available from Priceline that I think are the perfect nude lip companions for the months ahead.
Each of these shades is unique – which is rare for me because I tend to go for the same types of pinky nude. I tend to lean towards more glossy and sheer lipsticks in the warmer months and these definitely reflect it. They’re all also newer releases in the Australian beauty market which is always a win!
Burt’s Bees Glossy Lipstick in Nude Rain* – I absolutely love the packaging of these with the honeycomb detailing! I’m a big fan of the original formula of their lipsticks and the glossy version didn’t let me down either! It is a beautiful “your lips but better” shade that adds some beautiful gloss and shine to the lips leaving them looking hydrated.
Antipodes Lipstick in Golden Bay Nectar* – I love that the Antipodes lipsticks are not only made in New Zealand but are full of good ingredients and are technically edible! The lipstick looks really orange on the swatch but really doesn’t give much colour at all on the lips but mutes my natural lip colour a little – which I actually quite like ! It is a more matte formula but doesn’t look or feel drying on the lips.
Nude by Nature Moisture Shine in Dusty Rose* – shoutout to Nude by Nature for having the cutest packaging ever ! I love the rose gold bullet. This definitely turns into a more pink shade on my lips but I’m really living for it. Moisture Shine is a very accurate name for this range because it leaves my lips looking hydrated and shining without looking gross or metallic in any way – I’m the biggest fan of this!
Natio Long Wear Lip Colour in Eden* – if you’ve been around the blog before you’ll know that I’ve recently tried a bunch of Natio makeup and been quite impressed by the quality and price of the products. This range of lipsticks from Natio are described as having a semi-matte finish which I’d definitely agree with – it isn’t a super creamy lipstick but also isn’t matte or drying. It’s a happy medium! I find that this lasts really well throughout the day with a little bit of a touch up needed after eating.
NYX Lip Lingerie Gloss in Euro Trash* – I wasn’t a fan of the original Lip Lingerie matte liquid lipsticks but the glosses – oh my goodness! They have a huge variety of colours and finishes and this one in Euro Trash is a beautifully pigmented shade that’s perfect to be worn on its own. It isn’t at all sticky (but still don’t wear it on a windy day!) and it smells absolutely delicious when applied to the lips. It lasts well throughout the day except after eating – although it does leave a light layer of colour but if you’re fussy you’d definitely need to touch it up to keep the full effect.
Swatches left-right: Burt’s Bees Glossy Lipstick in Nude Rain, Antipodes in 02 Golden Bay Nectar, Nude by Nature Dusty Rose, Natio Eden and NYX Euro Trash. (Shoutout to Gypsy for being a cute little assistant/getting in the way/photo background!)
These have been the lip products that I’ve been reaching for over recent weeks and I know I’ll be grabbing for them consistently over the rest of the warmer months!
