5 Minute Makeup Routine

I like my sleep. I’m sure I’m like a lot of you guys! I used to always get up extra early so I could do my makeup nicely, but now I find it hard to roll out of bed before I need to leave. My everyday makeup routine takes me under 15 minutes for a full face, but there are mornings where I have way less time so I thought I’d share my tips and products when I’ve got five minutes before I have to run!

Primers – I use the two primers I know that’ll work the best for the day! I use the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Mattifying on my t-zone and Nourishing everywhere else!

Foundation- Revlon Colorstay is my everyday favourite, I find it so quick and easy to blend and unlike other foundations, I only need one pump to cover my face to a medium-full coverage, which is perfect when I’m in a rush!

Concealer- if I have time, I’ll colour correct my under eyes (most days) but there are some very rare occasions where I don’t have the time for that and I rely on a double layer of the Bare Minerals BareSkin Concealer to cover my undereye area and any blemishes.

Powder – I usually use a different powder for my undereye area, but in a rush I rely on my Australis Fresh and Flawless to powder my entire face !

Blush, Bronzer, Highlighter & Eyeshadow- when I’m in a huge rush I don’t contour, and I use my cheek palettes as eyeshadow – which turns out quite nicely ! I use my regular products – Mary Kay Shy Blush, Nars Laguna & Becca Moonstone to do my face and give some definition to my eyes.

Brows- my current go-to duo is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer + Ulta 3 Clear Mascara to define my brows and set them in place. I’m lucky that my brows are quite full and not very sparse, so I only really need to ‘colour them in’ of a daily basis.

Mascara – Benefit Rollerlash is perfect for days when I’m in a rush, because I know I can rely on it by itself without a Lash primer or eyelash curler to last all day!

Setting Spray- wouldn’t go a day without using the Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray. I use it after primer, after powdering my face and after finishing all my makeup and it’s the only thing I’ve found to help control my oil!

Usually when I am running super late it’s only for things for a couple of hours, so my makeup will still hold up when I’m removing my usual steps. It may not look as nice as I’d like it to, but it definitely cuts down steps, and time!
